This form is not necessary for events associated with our partner organizations as those are automatically approved. Our current partners are Blackland Prairie Raptor Center, Connemara Meadow Preserve, Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary, and Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Center (LLELA).
The complete process is:
- Member makes a request by completing the form below.
- In general, the VH/AT committee evaluates requests from the previous week at the beginning of the next week.
- Most requests will be approved or disapproved at that time.
- For individual requests, the requesting member will be notified of the decision.
- For chapter-wide requests, the requesting member, Communications Director, and events calendar coordinator will all be notified.
- The more unique requests will need board approval. For these entries, the requesting member will be notified that their request will be presented to the board at the next board meeting along with the recommendation of the VH/AT committee.
- These Recommendations are made based on a fairly lengthy set of guidelines from the state as to what are acceptable and unacceptable Opportunities and activities.
- Next, the Board accepts/rejects/modifies those recommendations at its next regularly scheduled monthly and documents those decisions in the minutes for that meeting.
- At this point, the requesting member will be notified of their request status.
- The minutes are approved at the NEXT Board meeting. On occasion, the previous decisions are clarified or amended prior to the final approval.
- After the minutes are approved, the event will be added to the Calendar.
