Seabourne Creek Nature Park in Rosenberg acquired two 20-foot shipping containers that are being converted into storage areas, said Jerry Trenta, Texas Master Naturalist and Seabourne Director who supervised acquisition of the containers.

The 14-foot, 8-passenger cart goes in one container while a riding lawn mower and other equipment goes in the other container. The passenger cart is for public tours to be offered by TMN Coastal Prairie Chapter members after Fort Bend County officials ease COVID-related restrictions to allow this activity.

Meanwhile, Trenta is adding shelves and equipment hangers to the containers. He said a garage had been considered, but the containers cost less than a garage and are very secure. The containers will be with primed with a rust conditioner and then painted, Trenta said.

An existing SCNP tool shed and garden wagon shed will be maintained as well, Trenta said.
