AT: Wildflowers to the Rescue – Growing Native Plants (Jaime Gonzales)

September 14 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am

varies

Popular prairie conservationist Jaime González is giving a lecture at the main campus of the Houston Museum of Natural Science Saturday morning, September 14th starting at 9:30am.  Ticket pricing for the lecture ranges $12-18, additional fees apply for museum access.

Texas wildflowers are often appreciated for their beauty but that’s just the start of their superpowers. When grown at home, in a local park, schoolyard, or rural preserve, they can support declining pollinators, clean our air, soak up our floodwaters, and cool our communities.

Join Urban Harvest and Jaime González, award-winning conservationist, storyteller, and prairie expert, as he tells the stories of local wildflowers and pocket prairies and how to bring them back to your home and community!

Co-Sponsored by Urban Harvest, Distinguished Lectures are supported by Apache Corporation.
