Armchair Botany: Women Documenting the Floras of Texas and Oklahoma – AT

Join us as we take our first forays into sharing what we’ve learned about a few of the women that have contributed to our understanding of the Texas-Oklahoma flora. You’ll hear about Geyata Ajilvsgi, Connie Taylor, Agnes Chase, and Shirley Lusk, and more in this effort to bring them into the spotlight for their efforts!

After presentations, Q&A and discussion, we’ll move into a guided transcription blitz where we’ll show you how to pull data from herbarium specimen images on your own time, to make your own discoveries and help us bring these collections to light.
