Join us to hear inspiring young conservationists share their passions and stories on how they want to make a difference and what they learned in Audubon’s Conservation Leaders program.
Audubon’s Conservation Leaders is a year-long experience for high school students which focuses on connection, conservation, and conversation. Over the last 9 years, more than 200 young women have been engaged in the the program hosted by Audubon Texas with support from the Young Women’s Preparatory Network.
The program consists of:
• Annual focus on one overarching conservation topic: Climate, Water, Coasts, Working Lands or Bird-Friendly Communities;
• Small group engagement: 12 students from each school, ranging from 9-12 grades;
• Field trips, zoom with professionals, and career panels to dive into science topics and careers;
• Internship opportunities to grow leadership skills and more!
In this Bird Friendly Texas Webinar you’ll discover a history of the program and hear directly from past participants on how the program has impacted them.
