Bluestem Chapter and Elm Fork are collaborating on building a pollinator garden at Shady Shores Baptist Church @ 401 West Shady Shores Road, Shady Shores, TX 76208.
Our groundbreaking, first workday will be on Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 on the east side of the church lawn from 10:30 a.m – 12:30 p.m. (weather permitting).
Please bring your shovels, gloves and enthusiasm and join Boy Scouts Pack 60 parents and Bluestem TMN as we begin to build a native pollinator garden as a gift to the sponsor church for Troop 60/Pack 60/Crew 60!
There has been a great deal of habitat loss in Denton in recent months and our pollinators will benefit from a new native garden. The church is on 4 acres and the pollinator garden will be 10’x20′. Our scouts will also be joining in as a service project on future work days; One weekend day and one week day each week until project completion (Schedule to be determined soon).
