Clear Creek – Leave No Trace Spotlight – Outreach

Leave No Trace (lnt.org) has selected Clear Creek for their January 2024 Spotlight. These spotlights focus on natural areas deserving of community action to “make a meaningful impact that can revitalize and protect these special places where we recreate, enjoy one another’s company, and elevate our health physically, mentally and emotionally.”

This is a notable and important event that Denton Parks and Recreation has brought to the community thanks to the efforts of Carin Zeman, Outdoor Recreation Coordinator, who offices out of Clear Creek.

• Saturday, 1/27, 9am – 1pm will be an outdoor expo with vendors and organizations tabling to provide information to the community-at-large. EFCTMN will be tabling at this event and volunteers are needed to staff the table. Again, service hours for Outreach will be available for this. To volunteer, let me or Trish Reyes (outreach@efctmn.org) know. Related workshops and activities will also be part of the day.
