Fighting Student Environmental Anxiety with Action and Storytelling – AT

January 11 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Research and Extension Center at Dallas

In this one-hour webinar, we will explore how to empower students to channel their environmental concerns into meaningful action. The session will focus on citizen science and the use of the National Geographic Slingshot Challenge, a platform where students can use their creativity and passion to tackle environmental issues. Through hands-on activities, online resources, and the art of storytelling, educators will gain tools to guide students in transforming their anxiety into powerful, solution-oriented projects.

Participants will understand how to use the National Geographic Slingshot Challenge as a tool to transform student environmental anxiety into action, learn techniques for guiding students in building impactful science communication skills that inspire change, and gain strategies and tools for fostering a sense of empowerment and agency in students facing environmental concerns.

A Zoom Link will be emailed to registrants on the morning of the event.  Click here to register.

Ticket Sales will end on January 10th
