Fort Worth Audubon Society, Weather and Climate of North Texas – AT

December 9, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join the Fort Worth Audubon Society as Ted Ryan from NOAA will discuss the weather and climate of the North Texas region, with a focus on some yearly and decadal climate oscillators that influence our weather. He will also briefly discuss climate change, and how it is, and is not, impacting Texas. Ted Ryan is a life-long Texas resident and weather enthusiast. He received a B.S. degree in meteorology from Texas A&M.   He started his weather forecasting career in 1997 at the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi, his hometown. In 2004, Ted relocated to the Fort Worth office in order to forecast and experience more active North Texas weather. The FWAS meeting starts at 7.00PM with a short membership meeting followed by the presentation.
