Lewisville Cleanup Opportunities: Prairie Creek Greenbelt and Creek

If you are a resident of Lewisville or would like to volunteer in Lewisville cleanup events, following are dates to put on your calendar:
Saturday October 19: Service Saturday: “Love of Lewisville”, tree planting, tree trimming, creek clearing, etc., Meet at Rodeo Grounds at 7am. for breakfast burritos. The site will be a mobile home park in Lewisville. Return to Rodeo Grounds for lunch.
Saturday, November 16: Service Saturday: Prairie Creek Greenbelt and Creek clean up. Meet at Home Depot at 7:30 a.m. You will be canvassing the forest and riparian area for litter and invasives. The event will end at 10 a.m.
Saturday, December 21: Service Saturday: Thrive Nature Park privet removal. Meet at Thrive Nature Park at 7:30 a.m. The event will end at 10 am.

Volunteers can bring their own bug spray, water, tools, gloves and other PPE. Lewisville will handle all herbicide applications when applicable. Lewisville will also bring shovels, loppers, trash bags, picker uppers, gloves, etc. for those who do not have them.
