Come out to the Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area (LLELA) to work on prairie restoration, wildscape, and facilities projects. Depending on the weather, projects may include nursery work such as seed harvesting or potting and plant rescue or replanting; maintenance of hiking trails; or removal of exotic species. Dress for the weather and bring your work gloves, sun and insect protection, and a bottle of water.
Mondays are more “active” as we do restoration, heavier jobs and trail building work. Wednesdays are normally working in the nursery and planting.
Volunteers meet at the Greenhouse between 8:45 and 9:00 AM. We will wrap up about noon. Please arrive by 9:00 as we may carpool to other locations on the LLELA property for workday activities.
