Mariposas Festival at Thrive Nature Park – volunteers needed!

The City of Lewisville has moved its annual celebration of butterflies to Thrive this year and we need lots of volunteers. Opportunities include nature walks, nature talks, and kid activities and crafts. The city has a SignUp Genius for this event: https://www.signupgenius.com/ go/10c0f48adab2fabf9c07- mariposas
When you sign up, please put (EF) after your name so that they will know that you’re from the Elm Fork Chapter. The Blackland Prairie Chapter has also been invited to assist since it is a big event and lots of other activities are competing with this one. I will have at least one orientation session for volunteers so don’t be afraid to sign up if you haven’t been to Thrive yet.
There will also be opportunities to help prep the park if you can’t make the May 7 festival. Please email Michele Rawleigh at flower.freak@verizon.net if you can assist with preparations. In addition, Fran Witte is looking for assistance with the chapter Outreach booth that we will have at Mariposas. If you are interested in helping Fran, email her at outreach@efctmn.org
