Pratt Nature Preserve – workday

Directions: From IH35 E take the FM 2181 exit. Go west to Parkridge (less than a mile, red light at intersection, high school on right). Turn left on Parkridge. Parkridge becomes Sycamore Bend Road at the stop sign. Continue straight to the T-intersection. Turn left (still Sycamore Bend Road). This is a narrow road so watch for oncoming traffic. Follow road into Sycamore Bend Park and continue to the right (only way you can go) past the bathrooms and the pavilion. Just prior to the primitive camping area at the end of the road is a driveway to the right. Go through the gate, take the first (only) left. Pratt Preserve begins at the tall gatepost. Aside from this event, the Preserve is not yet open to the public, so the gate may be locked.
