Snake Myths and Viral Tales – AT

January 22 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Looking at common misconceptions, and myths that have circulated over the years and newer viral myths that have popped up and spead via social media about snakes.

Amethyst Roney: “I’m an animals lover and enthusiast from a young age and always fascinated with the creepy crawlies no one else likes. Growing up my interest shifted to want to work with museums and educating the public about nature and animals. I’m a self-taught taxidermist and volunteer my time working with rehabilitators rescuing injured animals and doing public presentations with snakes native to Texas. Most of my outreach in the past 10 years has been connected to the Facebook group “What kind of snake is this? North Texas, educational group” identifying photos and helping the public with questions and information.”

This is the January chapter meeting AT for the Indian Trail Chapter of TMN.
