Texas Water Resources Data – AT

Attendees of this webinar will learn how to navigate various federal and state water databases including: the EPA’s “How’s My Waterway” and “Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO)”, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) Texas Water Dashboard, and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Surface Water Quality Web Reporting Tool. These tools can be used to access data on water quantity, water quality, and pollution in the rivers, streams, lakes, and estuaries of Texas. Come and learn how to find out how the water is in your favorite fishing or swimming hole!

About the Speaker:  Marty Kelly studied Marine Biology and Fisheries at Texas A&M – Galveston before going on to earn a Masters Degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Houston – Clear Lake.  Marty then worked for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for 16 years as an Aquatic Scientist monitoring the water, sediment, and biological quality of the Galveston Bay system.  Marty began working as a Natural Resource Specialist for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in 2015 and has recently taken over the role of Water Resources Program Coordinator.
