HELP! The Flower Mound really needs all hands-on deck to clean up the frontage area. It’s been difficult to get Master Naturalists to show up for a workday on this iconic prairie, but if you can spare any time this Saturday morning, June 18, beginning at 7:30am, we’d greatly appreciate it.
The day’s activities include pulling bastard cabbage and bindweed and weed eating the entire area between the fence and the sidewalk, as well as along the sidewalk on the other side. Please bring a weed eater if you have one (more makes for lighter work), sharpshooter shovel, wear gloves, hat, sunscreen, and bring plenty of water! Also, it’s chigger season, so spraying socks and pant legs with your favorite chigger-be-gone product is highly recommended.
