Every spring and fall, Texas skies become a superhighway for migrating birds Artificial light at night and collision with buildings and glass are a significant cause of death to migratory birds in the United States. This presentation will introduce this challenging issue, why it matters to bird conservation, what we’ve learned through research and monitoring efforts, and strategies to make Texas skies safer for migrating birds.
