Total Eclipse on The Mound – Planning Meeting

Come help plan an event for the ages! We will be holding a solar eclipse viewing event on The Flower Mound prairie, full of activities and fun with science. But we need your help to plan and host the activities. Feel free to bring any ideas you’ve gathered for activities for adults and children.
The total solar eclipse is Monday, April 8. We will plan hands-on activities for the expected crowds starting about 10:30am or 11:00am. Partial eclipse begins about 12:17pm. Totality is around 1:42pm and will last for 2 minutes, 12 seconds. There’s a great simulation on this website: https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/@4691585?iso=20240408.
