TX MN Eclipse Educator webinar – AT

November 1, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Presented by Dorian Janney, Senior NASA Earth Science Education and Communications Specialist

Dorian recently presented at the TMN Annual Meeting in McAllen, TX.

Here’s an email she sent out to those who attended and other interested parties:

I am still feeling the awe from being with so many of you during the annular eclipse and attending the TX MN Annual Meeting! You all sure do know how to enjoy life and share the joys of observing nature in all its glory with others! The nights hanging out and learning about night bugs and moths were so much fun, and didn’t we luck out with being able to observe the eclipse at the El Sauz Ranch!

I know many of you weren’t at the meeting or the ranch and had some fabulous experiences observing the eclipses and collecting observations. I am hoping that many of you will share some of the pictures of your events and tell us about your experiences during our Nov. 1st webinar! I will make it so anyone who wants to can share their screen, so have your pictures up and ready to share with us! I would also like to have people share their GLOBE Observer eclipse observations- I attached the one I pulled from the GO Eclipse app that shows the data we collected at the ranch.

We will also hear from Kristen Weaver about how the data we collected during the annular eclipse and that we will collect during the April 8th eclipse will be used, using the data collected back in 2017 as an example.
