Washington-on-the-Brazos Historic Site workday

July 5 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

VMS opportunity: Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site

Our next Workday in the Chapter Pollinator Garden at Washington on the Brazos is scheduled for Saturday, July 5 from 9-11 am. With the June rains and the hot – but not too hot! – weather so far this summer, the garden will be ready for some weed-pulling and general maintenance.

Gloves, small hand clippers, and small trowel or other tool for digging up weeds are also a must. Don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen and a hat!

Construction continues at the Park with the trails closed to the public until early October. The Park Manager has verified that we are welcome to work in the garden this Saturday, since the construction is not yet affecting the area around the Pollinator Garden.

If you can’t come this month, our next scheduled Workday will be Saturday, August 23 from 9-11 am.

Anyone interested in helping in the garden is welcome to join us. If you have questions, please contact Julie Itz (713-306-1168 or jwiemail@aol.com).
