·       Increasing wildfire risks have led to calls for widespread use of Rx to reduce fuel loads.
·       Prescribed fire is economically more efficient than other forms of woody plant removal.
·       The use of Rx by landowners is subject to social norms.
·       Liability standards for escaped fire affect the incidence of Rx.
·       County Commissioners and District Court Judges attitudes about Rx can affect its use at times when it most effective for reducing fuel loads.
·       Prescribed burning associations play a critical role in affecting social norms as well as landowners’ and county officials’ perspectives about Rx
