GLC Texas Waters group meeting

April 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

VMS opportunity: TBD

For all things water, join the GLC Texas Waters Specialist team. We will be completing the Texas Waters Specialist curriculum and discussing how we can get involved in water-related issues. Currently our chapter supports Adopt-a-Highway, which is an approved Texas Waters Specialist project (where do you think all that trash ends up when it rains?). We are exploring the possiblity of establishing a Texas Stream Team group to tackle water quality testing. Two watersheds in our chapter area (Mill Creek in Washington County and Middle Yegua Creek in Lee County) have been identified as impaired watersheds, highlighting the need for water-related education. This group will work together to identify and implement projects for our chapter addressing water issues.

Our first meeting will be February 20, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. We will meet virtually using WebEx. Watch your email for more information.
