VMS opportunity: Educational Group Presentation
Save the date for the 2025 Brenham Land, Water, and Wildlife Expedition in conjunction with the Texas Wildlife Association. Nearly 400 middle school students will spend a field day learning about the natural world. More details will be added as planning progresses.
The community of Brenham, Texas and the Texas Wildlife Association are excited to announce Year 3 of Brenham Junior High School’s Land, Water & Wildlife Expedition on Tuesday March 18th at the Kolkhorst Ranch in Brenham, Texas.
During the March 18th Expedition field day, the Brenham Community Expedition Team will be leading 380 Brenham 7th graders through a day of hands-on activities planned by Brenham community members and stakeholders. We will be teaching and reinforcing the conservation and stewardship of Texas’ wonderful natural resources while fostering a connection with Texas private-property landownership. In the event of a weather related cancellation, the event will be rescheduled for April 1st.
Master Naturalists have been involved in this (and its predecessor known as LANDS) for more than 12 years so let’s start gearing up for March 18, 2025. We encourage the return of seasoned volunteers along with new members who can learn by partnering with an experienced member. Lots more details will be coming about the learning objectives and stations and potential volunteer assignments.
Lori Buffum will be the “GLC Volunteer Coordinator” for this.
