Monument Hill State Historic Site workday

VMS opportunity: Monument Hill State Historic Site

We will have a workday at Monument Hill-Kreische Brewery on Wednesday, Aug. 13, beginning at 8:00 a.m.  I expect we will work 2 to 2 ½ hours. 

We will continue from the June work by cutting and spraying marked invasives (mostly chinaberry & nandina).  We also will begin our signage re-vamping by digging up a sign and moving it to an area of better specimens (where there is SHADE!). 

Bring your gloves, lobbers, digging tools (e.g., shovel, picks); wear protective clothing, bug spray; and don’t forget your WATER!
