VMS opportunity: Educational Group Presentations
The Washington County Ag Day will be held May 13, 2026 at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
400 4th graders come to the Washington County
For our 20-minute session, we will be playing a “Junior Master Naturalist Bingo Game/Scavenger Hunt” with the kids.
This is a GREAT opportunity for new members of the chapter (that’s you, Class of 2026 (and 2025 and 2024)), to work alongside members who have done this before.
We are INSIDE and kids hunt for the answers to the bingo questions on posters displayed around the room while volunteers coach them.. It’s great fun for the kids and for us! And they get a prize – tiny magnifier! The teachers usually collect the bingo sheets so they can refer to them in followup lessons.
Timing is yet to be confirmed but here is what it has been in the past: Volunteers will arrive about 8:15 to get set up. Sessions start at 9 and end at 2:30 with a break for lunch (pizza provided for volunteers or bring your own brown bag). We will be in the VIP building (entrance off Independence Road).
