Washington on the Brazos Workday
>>Record in VMS (with travel time) as: Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site: Gideon Lincecum Master Naturalists<<
Sorry for the late reminder about the April Workday in the Chapter Pollinator Garden at Washington on the Brazos scheduled for this Saturday morning, April 11. I’ve been watching the weather prediction. It looks like there is a good chance of rain, but I’m hoping we can finish our work before the rain arrives.
With the warmer weather and the spring showers, we should find weeds to pull and a little bit of trimming and cleaning up to do. There have been more visitors to the park lately, so we want the garden to look its best!
The gates to the park now open to the public at 9:30 am. I plan to be at the entrance at 9 am and if you are there then, you can enter with me. Otherwise, just plan to arrive at 9:30. If you have questions about this new time, don’t hesitate to give me a call.
Bring gloves, small hand clippers, and small trowel or other tool for digging up weeds and don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen and a hat!
If you can’t join us this time, our next Workday will be on Saturday, May 9.
Anyone interested in helping in the garden is welcome to join us. If you have questions, please contact Julie Itz
