TMN-GLC youth education in the press spotlight

February 8, 2019 by Sheri Wilcox

TMN-GLC youth education is in full swing in the upcoming months. Local newspapers featured two recent youth education programs presented by TMN-GLC members.

Third graders from Brenham Elementary enjoyed a presentation on eastern bluebirds by our own Carol Paulson and Jon Watkins. Coverage of the event was featured in the Brenham Banner Press online edition.

Another TMN-GLC team, led by Tom Shaughnessy, took 6th graders from Sealy I.S.D. for a “walk in the park” at Stephen F. Austin State Park. In addition to the Old 300 Survival Hike, students played scavenger hunt bingo, learned about animal scat and tracks, and listened to “Bite Me or Leave Me Bee.”
