Yes, it is that time again to gather to nurture the flower beds, trees, & shrubs @ Berry Springs Preserve and to enjoy the fellowship of other volunteers and a wonderful Pot Luck Lunch.
We will be gathering on Sat. Oct. 4th @ 8:30am @ the Tonkawa Pavilion located on the hill across from the restrooms.
Be sure and sign up on the Sign Up Genius prior to the work day so you can be placed at a work location.
Bring with you a hand pruning tool, a weeding tool, loppers, rake, work gloves and a water bottle. We won’t have enough tools for everyone. When you sign up you will find out where you will be working so you know which tools to bring. Dress appropriately for working with plants and getting dirty. If you have done this event before and would like to work in a certain location please let Susan Blackledge, the event coordinator know and she will assign you to that location if it isn’t already filled.
If you are planning to attend the Pot Luck Lunch @ noon be sure and sign up on Sign up Genius, or email @ jwoods@round-rock.tx.us or by phone 512-799-7148 to coordinate what to bring.
Categories for the Pot Luck include: Breakfast snack, Appetizer, Chips, Salads, Fruit, Sandwiches, Bucket of Chicken or other Chicken dish, Side or Main Dish, Dessert, Drinks, plates, cups, plastic forks, spoons, knifes utensils. We want to have a variety therefore we want you to sign up.
Be sure and bring a serving utensil if your contribution requires it. There is electricity @ the pavilion if you need to keep something warm. If you need to keep your contribution cold, please bring it in an ice chest to keep cool until the luncheon starts.
We will continue to work till 3pm to finish projects and to clean up and put things away if you can stay.
