Berry Springs Park, WILCO Juvenile Services Workdays(Rescheduled June 17th to July 1st)

June 5, 2015 by glennkleinert

The June 17th workday will be rescheduled to July 1st due to possibly heavy rain.WILCO Juvenile Services has adopted Berry Springs Park and has scheduled 4 work mornings this summer.  This is an opportunity to work with the youth and receive volunteer hours.  The first work morning is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17th from 8:30 a.m. – noon.  Gather at the fishing pier on the pond.  We will be dragging the pond using a water tiller and also raking the edges to remove aquatic vegetation.  The vegetation will be composted and used in the flower beds in later workdays.  Bring work gloves, rubber boots or other shoes you do not mind getting wet, and a water bottle or beverage.  Ice water will be provided.  Wear a hat, insect repellant and sunscreen for your protection.

Future work days will be Wednesday, July 1st; Wednesday July 10th; and Wednesday, August 12th.  All sessions will be from 8:30 a.m. until noon.  Please mark your calendars and plan to attend and help out with these projects.   Contact Susan Blackledge for additional information.  Contact her at [email protected]

Berry Springs Park & Preserve is located at 1801 CR 152 Georgetown, Texas 78626.
