Work Mornings at Berry Springs Park & Preserve

April 18, 2016 by glennkleinert

Thanks to the abundance of rain the wildflowers and flower beds at Berry Springs are blooming! The rain has made it easy to weed and we want to take advantage of that opportunity. Therefore, pending the weather, we are scheduling work mornings on:

Thurs. & Fri. April 21st & 22nd 9am-noon &
Thurs. & Fri. April 28th & 29th 9am-noon

Bring with you a weeding tool, scissors, hand pruners, work gloves and a water bottle. We will be harvesting poppies and bluebonnets, weeding & mulching the beds and removing invasive plants from wildflower areas. For extra volunteer hours you will be able to take the wildflower seeds home to harvest. Seeds may also be available for other volunteers to harvest at home. If you are able to help, contact Susan Blackledge to sign up and tell her what days you want to work. Susan can be contacted at [email protected] or by telephone at 512-930-0040. We will meet at the Tonkawa Pavilion unless otherwise mentioned to you when you sign up.

Berry Springs Park and Preserve is located at 1801 CR 152 Georgetown, TX 78626
