Insect Expo

March 15, 2017 by vickizardiackas

Members of GWMN have been invited by Wizzie Brown to volunteer at the INSECT EXPO sponsored by the  Southwestern Branch of the Entomological Society of America.

Date:   April 10th from 8AM- 2PM.

Location: Wyndham Garden Hotel (3401 South IH-35 , Austin, TX 78741).

https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-garden/austin-texas/wyndham-garden-austin/overview

The kids arrive at 9, so we request that volunteers be there at 8am to familiarize themselves with stations.  We’ll have coffee!!  I’ve included some sites where folks can look at (and borrow for more recruitment) photos and videos of previous Insect Expos so you can have a little idea of what you’re getting into..

No fee of any kind will be charged to you and no entomology knowledge is required.  Stations are activity-based, not talking presentations; it’s all about fun!  And we can have chairs available for those who need them.  We will perform set-up the day before so no lifting required.

If you plan to volunteer, please respond to:
