Berry Springs pond is substantially lower, almost gone. The drought gives us the opportunity to tidy up the pond bottom by removing limbs, trimming up low branches and removing any garbage.
The drought substantially reduces the amount of invasive aquatic vegetation without the use of chemicals! One good thing.
Once the water returns, the pond will be beautiful. We will restock fish and continue to manage the aquatic vegetation.
Please join us on Wed. Aug. 15th 8:30 -noon to help with this endeavor. Bring work gloves, water bottle. Wear close toed shoes. You will be working in the pond on the dried areas. Wear appropriate clothing. Please respond to this email if planning on attending.
This will be the last Pond Beautification Work Morning for the summer.
We hope to see you there!
