United Way Day Of Caring Friday Sept 28th 8.30- Noon

Here is your chance to make a impact in your Community.
Once Again, Berry Springs Park & Preserve is partnering with United Way of Williamson County to participate in the Annual “United Way Day of Caring”.
There will be various Beautification and park maintenance projects assigned to those who sign up. Participants must be 18 years of age. Volunteers must be able to work in a natural environment with some inherent risks, such as heat, not allergic to insect bites, poison ivy, or other natural allergies ie. grass etc. Dress appropriately for the weather. Wear closed toed shoes, bring work gloves, bring sunscreen, water bottle, and a snack if desired. Must be stand, bend, kneel, lift up to 10-20 lbs. occasionally.
We will meet at the large Tonkawa Pavilion on top of the hill across from the restrooms @ 8:30am.
Work assignment will given in order of those who sign up first. The list is subject to change depending on how many folks sign up. If you know what you would like to do, please let me know so I can add you to that specific task.
Upon arrival, be sure and sign in on the sign up sheet. THERE IS NO RAIN DATE FOR THIS EVENT.
Loading (fibar) wood chips into wheel barrels and raking it onto the playground surface area.
Trimming low branches and making piles and assisting with loading vehicles for removal. Bring your own loppers. Tools are limited and you may prefer your own.
Removing small rocks from Donkey compound and placing in buckets for removal.
Walking & picking up limbs and putting them in piles for removal.
If wanting to participate please sign up by responding to this email. Please include your phone # also so if I have any questions I can contact you. 
Once the list is complete a email will be sent to you so you know where you will be working and what to bring. Deadline is Mon. Sept. 24th.
