Garey Park GWMN Volunteer Orientations

February 6, 2019 by kateknight

Hello Goodwater Master Naturalists!

We will be hosting a couple more Volunteer Orientations:

1) Tuesday, February 19 – Garey Park – check in at the Gate House for specific location, 11:00am – 11:45am

2) Tuesday, February 19 – Georgetown Recreation Center – Event Room, 7:00pm – 7:45pm

We are partnering with our City’s Conservation Services Department to host an “Earth Day Family Fest” at Garey Park on Saturday, April 20. Staff is still working on the details, but we would love to invite the Goodwater Master Naturalists to join us for this event. General concept is a family friendly free event (10am – 2pm) with fun kid activities themed around Earth Day/Nature/Conservation, etc. Hoping to have music, pony rides, face painting, fly fishing instruction, guiding walks through the park, a few food vendors, and hands on activities for the kids to do.

Just wanted to send a few updates regarding Garey Park.

The programs without a lead or a confirmed date are in italics.  Please let me know who might be interested so I can contact them to get more information regarding details of the program.
