Balcones Canyonlands NWR Bridges to Birding Starts Next Week!

April 11, 2019 by kateknight

Hello Wonderful Volunteers,

Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge’s field trip season begins next Tuesday and we are still in need of volunteers to help make each field trip a success. Please consider signing up to volunteer. Even if you don’t feel comfortable teaching, we would love your help guiding groups of students from station to station or leading/assisting a short hike. We also have several openings for volunteer teachers and assistants (if you want to learn a particular station).

To sign up log into your Volunteer Account here https://friendsofbalcones.org/Volunteer-Registration

Login and click on the green “Volunteer Login” button.

Or, you can email or call me [email protected]  and I will sign you up.

Field trips take place at Doeskin Ranch (10645 S FM 1174, Bertram, TX, 78605) and volunteers typically work 8:30 am – 1:00 pm. Volunteers who only sign up to lead or assist during a hike work 12:30 – 2:00 pm.

Thank you for helping to share the wonders of nature with the next generation! We cannot do this without your help.

Gratefully,

Jennifer Brown
