We had so much fun the first time, we are bringing it back!
We want to celebrate the beautiful birds that visit Central Texas in the spring, and we want to celebrate them with all of you.
If you can, please join us (from home) in a backyard bird count on Wednesday, April 29, 8 am – 9 am. Grab a cup of coffee, sit on your back porch, and count the birds you see in your backyard. If you don’t have a good place at home to watch birds, go to your nearest open green space and participate a safe distance from others.
Submit your bird lists to us (an eBird list is ideal but not necessary) at [email protected] and we will compile them to create a snaphot of the birds seen around Central Texas at the same time on the same day. It will almost be like we saw them all together! Be sure your list includes your specific location (address, park name, etc.) and includes number of individuals seen or heard from each species identified.
