National Invasive Species Awareness Week, Part 2

May 15, 2020 by shickman

Help report invasive species in Texas as part of National Invasive Species Awareness Week (NISAW) 2020!
Invasive species are everywhere, from back yards to roadsides, gardens to farms, local parks to remote ranches, creeks and lakes and coasts to prairies and woods and mountains. Wherever you are, we want to know what non-native species you’re seeing.

Let’s stay safe from this year’s most-unwelcome non-native: the 2019-nCoV coronavirus. We urge everyone to carefully follow public health guidelines provided by the C.D.C. and local governments. Individual safety and public health are our utmost priority.

You can learn more about any of the invasive species on the list by visiting https://www.texasinvasives.org/  Any observations of species from the project list that are made in Texas May 16-23, 2020 will be automatically added to this project. We’ll announce the results on June 5, 2020.

If you do any related social media posts, please use hashtags #TexasInvasiveSpecies and/or #NISAW.
