Event Description:
Monarch Essentials is a series of comprehensive online courses that cover various topics in monarch conservation including monarch biology, migration, threats, plant and insect ecology, research and conservation, community science opportunities, and how to establish pollinator habitat.

The complete essentials course is a 7-week program that dives deeper into monarch biology, migration, threats, ecology, research, conservation, community science and pollinator habitat.

All sessions are on Wednesday evenings (dates below), are 90 minutes long, and begin at 6:30 PM (CST).

• Week 1 – February 16: Monarch Biology and Ecology
• Week 2 – February 23: Monarch Migration and Overwintering
• Week 3 – March 2: Monarch Threats
• Week 4 – March 9: Monarch Science, Population, and Habitat Targets
• Week 5 – March 16: Community Science
• Week 6 – March 23: More than Monarchs – An Ecosystem Approach to Habitat Creation
• Week 7 – March 30: Tri-National Conservation
