Event Summary:
A Webinar with Dr. Sandra Johnson of Johnson Consulting

Event Description:
This workshop is for informal and formal educators. More than ever students need to be going outside to learn. COVID has kept them inside for so long. Teachers need to learn more about the environment and how to use the outdoors for learning. Informal providers need ways to engage students and provide activities to teachers for pre and post field trip or outreach programs and teacher workshops.

Come learn more about how to engage students in outdoor activities through use of a wide variety of learning methods based on the ways that students learn. Find out the “why” of how students are engaged.

Also learn what makes an activity useful for teachers in their classroom or on their school grounds, including providing standards based, interactive, student-centered, age and grade appropriate activities that are inexpensive, easy to understand and prepare, and increase knowledge and skills.

Learning how to do these things will make planning and developing activities easier, more useful, and fun for students and teachers.

Cost: no charge
