Improve your ability to document your observations in nature using watercolor.
Join international artist, Jeannette MacDougall in watercolor class where you learn to paint with the practice of the basic techniques; glazing, wet-in-wet, dry brush and more. By following a step-by-step progressive approach of a handful of techniques that we combine to establish a solid understanding of this water-based medium. Students will begin with brush strokes, shapes, rendering variation of value, and color-mixing, to create their own paintings. Beginners welcome.
Join us every Saturday at 10 am in the Herff House on 33 Herff Rd.
*Materials are provided for you in the 1st class you attend. Then a martial list will be available for purchase for the next class.
Jeannette is a graduate of Parsons School of Art in NYC and is an instructor at Southwest School of Art in San Antonio, Texas, for 30 years. Most recently, she served as the Curator/Instructor at Intermezzo Gallery. She is accomplished in drawing and painting in various media, and her art work is widely collected. As a professional artist and art educator, she finds great inspiration and joy in sharing her methods and experiences with those ready to tap into their own dreams of self-expression through art exploration.
