Event Description:
Birding with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is excited to announce a new partnership with the Texas Tech University at the Llano River Field Station in Junction, TX with a *NEW* program – PUMA DAY! Get up close with purple martins and learn about the conservation efforts of this species. The day will include various educational activities including bird banding experiences, research updates, conservation of purple martin efforts and identification presentations for Swifts and Swallows. We will also have some extra fun as each participant will have the opportunity to apply what they learned and paint their very own purple martin canvas to take home with them.

Extend your PUMA day experience into the evening of July 11^th and morning on the 12^th as we host our traditional Birds, Bats and Owls dinner with unique mist netting experience with Krista Demere, TPW Wildlife Diversity Biologist. The next morning, we will bird and participate in community science efforts at the Heart of the Hills Fishery and Llano River Field Station with guide Romey Swanson.

Registration Cost: $50
