Event Summary:
Learn how to work for better water.
Event Description:
Let’s talk about organizing volunteers to work through Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs) to install storm drain markers, hold park talks to discuss the issues of bacteria, low DO, and other pollutants and build community awareness. Cities and other municipalities may work through their utility departments, and the effort would need an agency/entity facilitator/organizer, but the activities are transferable to lots of locations and are especially possible for Master Naturalists across the state to consider as a package they could offer a MUD/Utility if funding is provided by the beneficiary organization.
