Event Time: 10:00a-12:00p
Event Summary:
Learn about native plants and how they are drought tolerant.
Event Description:
This year many of us have experienced record heat and drought throughout much of Texas. During this time you may have found yourself asking questions such as how can I lower my gardens water usage? What native plants will be able to handle this heat? Or just simply, how do we cope? This class will help you by looking at these questions from three different aspects: understanding native plants and their growth habits, learning which plants are known to be more drought tolerant and by understanding how the care we give our plants benefits them when experiencing drought conditions. Register today and get ready for the fall planting season!
This class is open to adults of all ages. No prior experience is necessary.
This class will take place in person at the Wildflower Center.
Space is limited and registration is required. Masks are optional. Please review our safety guidelines here.
