Event Description:
Kelly Lyons is a Professor in the Biology Department at Trinity University. She is a botanist and ecologist who studies the influence of diversity on ecosystem functioning and invasive species dynamics. Her current research focus is on the restoration of Texas grasslands and rangelands with particular emphasis on the improvement of soil health. She teaches a range of biology courses as well as interdisciplinary courses on climate change and study abroad in Latin America and China. She also works as a consultant on the use of native and climate-ready plants in natural and horticultural landscapes.
