This event repeats on 3/23, 4/27, 5/25/2023
Event Summary:
Learning by documenting.
Event Description:
We will draw/document something that is growing in the garden today. Teaching will be tailored to the individual for the purpose of learning about the natural world and its use in citizen science. Informal teaching based on the level of the student and their purpose for nature journaling.
Drawing skills are not necessary! The goal is not to be botanical illustrators, but observers of nature. We are drawing to facilitate learning, but be aware that writing is just as valid as is a combination of both. Please bring a journal and a pencil and eraser. You can also bring other art supplies such as watercolor or a magnifying glass. Also bring either a camera or your phone.
Other sessions are available monthly thoughout the year, with a holiday/winter break.
Cost: no charge
