The presentation on “The Greatest Grackle: Tips and Tricks for Youth Wildlife Education” – tips and tricks for teaching kids about birding ……. will follow a brief business meeting.

Hybrid Event Description:
Meetings may be Zoom or in-person at Upper Guadalupe River Authority in Kerrville.   

Doors at UGRA open at 6:00p. Members attending virtually may begin logging in at 6:00p. A 30-minute chapter business meeting begins at 6:30 PM.  Members attending this may claim 0.5 volunteer hours.
The Advanced Training session runs from 7:10 PM – 8:10 PM.

Our speaker, Dr. Maureen Frank, is an Associate Professor of Conservation Biology at Sul Ross State University and the James A. “Buddy” Davidson Endowed Professor with Borderlands Research Institute. Previously, she worked as an Extension Wildlife Specialist for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, where she gave dozens of presentations to youth about a variety of subjects and in a variety of formats. Dr. Frank also taught adults about wildlife management, especially on small-acreage properties. Her research interests include grassland bird conservation and improving outreach methods.
