Hybrid Event Description:
Chris Distel is a Professor of Biology and Field Station Director at Schreiner University. His research and teaching in ecology and conservation span many groups of species, but he considers himself primarily a herpetologist. Many of his published experiments evaluate the effects of pesticides interacting with competition in amphibians. He has served as editor for Journal of Herpetology and a board member for the Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry South Central Chapter, as well as Riverside Nature Center in Kerrville. Chris loves teaching through research. He lives in Kerrville with his amazing wife Sarah and their three intrepid children.
A 30-minute chapter business meeting begins at 6:30 PM. Members attending this may claim 0.5 volunteer hours.
The Advanced Training session runs from 7:10 PM – 8:10 PM.
