Get in depth and learn new journaling techniques as a way to study nature.
Event Description:
Our Master Naturalist artist will walk participants through journaling techniques as a way to make nature study more fun and entertaining – another way to learn, and a visit to the Pollinator Garden is always exciting in October.
All materials will be supplied.
Nancy Huffman is a lifelong artist who utilizes nature journaling as a tool for teaching and to facilitate deeper learning. From her years as a high school art teacher to an environmental service volunteer, sketching plays role. Her personal journaling ranges from landscape sketchbooks to learning about native plants.
Nancy has been a Texas Master Naturalist since 2014 and is currently a member of the Hill Country Chapter. She also serves as president of the Native Plant Society of Texas, Kerrville Chapter, and Vice-President of the Hunt Garden Club. In additional volunteer work, she continues a studio practice, working primarily in oil as well as watercolor.
