Webinar Description:
TPWD provides this workshop to staff and community partners as a professional development opportunity intended to help attendees better understand why hunting is important to conservation efforts. National CLfT staff and instructors as well as some of our very own TPWD Hunter Education staff will lead the 1 1/2 day workshop. All coursework and activities are designed to benefit individuals with little to no hunting experience and limited outdoor knowledge and skills. As a TPWD employee or Media Partner, this course will help provide a deeper understanding of our mission and the stewardship of natural resources.

All participants will complete a pre- and post-workshop survey to help us evaluate the program, participant experience, and improvement of future workshops. It’s our hope that staff, and our partners, will be able to attend and enjoy this workshop as we strive to maintain and enhance our strong outdoor and conservation heritage in the Lone Star State.

Hunting for Conservation Workshop Details:
Texas 4-H Conference Center, an outdoor camp on Lake Brownwood.
Additional half day is added on Wednesday afternoon for those who want to stay and complete a hunter education certification, including live-fire exercises (.22 rifles) and a final exam.

The price per employee (approximately $150) for lodging and meals is due upon arrival to the Texas 4-H Center. Partner (Your) price is FREE of CHARGE.

Travel is on your own, but me know if you need assistance getting to and from the workshop (carpool) near Brownwood, TX.
