Event Time: 10:30a-11:30a
Event Summary:
Learn about our drought tolerant native plants that you can utilize in your landscaping to help you work with the water that we have available.
Event Description:
Our area is currently in an extreme drought and none of us has the power to change weather patterns. The best thing we can do is work with Mother Nature and turn to native plants that don’t require much supplemental watering for our gardens and landscaping. This program introduces some of these plants and will discuss how to grow them in the landscape.
These programs will be held at the Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library on the second Saturday of each month, from 10:30-11:30 am. You will find us in the lower ground level room. Enter from the rear riverside entrance of the library.
Sharon Hixson is a member of the Hill Country Master Naturalist as well as the Native Plant Society of Texas Kerrville Chapter where she serves as Secretary.
